Jamestown, CA — A man was arrested after attacking a Jamestown bartender.
Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office Spokesperson Sgt. Jeff Wilson reports that 22-year-old Jeremy Burk was intoxicated and asked to leave the bar area of the Willow Steakhouse Friday night. Burk left the restaurant, but then returned a half hour later.
The bartender refused to serve Burk, so he eventually exited out the front door. Burk then reentered through a side door and allegedly started punching the bartender while his back was turned.
The Sheriff’s Office says that Burk even hit the bartender over the head with a whiskey bottle, causing it to shatter. Customers came to the bartender’s aid and physically removed the rowdy patron from the building. Burk, who resides in Jamestown, was later located and arrested for assault with a deadly weapon. The bartender was not seriously injured.
