Vote On Columbia President

Modesto, CA – The Yosemite Community College District will vote on who will be the next President at Columbia College.

It is one of the items on the agenda for Wednesday’s Board of Trustees meeting in Modesto. The selection committee in charge of finding a new President is recommending that the Trustees select Dr. Dennis Gervin, who is currently the VP of Student Learning at Columbia. Other finalists are Butte College VP of Student Learning Dr. Kenneth Meier and Yuba College VP for Academic and Student Services Dr. Kevin Trutna. The meeting will be held at the YCCD Conference Room at 3:30pm on Wednesday.

Dr. Richard Jones has been serving as Interim Columbia President since August of last year. The last fulltime President was Dr. Joan Smith, who is now the YCCD Chancellor.
