San Andreas, CA — The Grand Jury report has been released for Calaveras County.
The 109 page report investigates complaints made against county government agencies. The Grand Jury looked into the Jenny Lind Fire Protection District, County Jail, Animal Shelter, Angels Camp PD, Public Works Department, County Schools, Veterans Services and other departments.
Highlights of the report include the recommendation to hire a fulltime Veterans Services official, and a recommendation to proceed with plans to build and staff a new animal shelter.
