Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will vote whether to approve a contract for improvements at the Police Station.
The proposed project includes replacing all wood siding on the front of the building, replacing the rain gutters, and installing a new front door. There will also be an effort to better waterproof the facility, as numerous leaks have been discovered over the years.
The City received eight bids for the project, ranging from $67,000 to $140,000. City staff is recommending that the Council approve a contract with Soracco and Sons, who had lowest bid. Funding will come from Community Development Block Grants. Tonight’s meeting begins at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
