Olsen Criticizes Controversial Bill

Sonora, CA– Republican Assemblymember Kristin Olsen is opposed to a new bill signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown.

She believes the new requirement for students to learn about the accomplishments of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered Americans in social science classes, should never have been decided in the state legislature.

Olsen writes about this issue and the flaws of Senate Bill 48 in her latest blog entry entitled “Politicians Rewrite History Books.” To read the blog click here.

Assemblymember Olsen represents the 25th District in the California Legislature, which includes Angels Camp and Sonora.
