Columbia, CA — The new President of Columbia College will speak about changes taking place at the school.
Dr. Dennis Gervin will be the guest on Mother Lode Views this weekend. Dr. Gervin says the Yosemite Community College District was forced to make cuts because of less funding coming in from the state level. The school will have a reduced staffing next school year, and the cost of tuition will be increasing.
He’ll also talk about ways the school is planning to grow over the coming years. A ribbon cutting will held later this month for the Natural Resources Building, and there are plans on the table to expand in Calaveras County.
