Murphys, CA– It’s just a few weeks away, Mark Twain Hospital Foundation’s Dancing with the Sierra Stars at Ironstone Vineyards.
The competition will be a little unusual this year because for the first time, a husband and wife will be competing against each other.
When asked why he is competing with his wife Terri in a dance contest, businessman Mark Wilson said, “Don’t get me wrong, I’m very proud of Terri’s accomplishments, but a dollar for every time I was introduced as ‘Terri Wilson’s husband, Mark” would make a sizable endowment to the MTSJH Foundation. This contest is my opportunity to escape from her shadow.”
Terri has performed in the smash hit “Love Me A Tenor”and the Calaveras Follies.
When Terri was asked why she and her husband are competing against one another in this event, she said simply that fund developer Paul Mundy asked her to be his dance partner and she agreed.
Later when Wilson’s friend costume designer Laura Dyken mentioned she was looking for a dance partner for DWSS, Terri suggested Mark because he and Laura worked well together at the Calaveras Follies.
Other competing dance couples include winemaker Matt Hatcher and teacher Jennifer Berry, actor Sean Lewis and registered nurse Kassie Waters, and county supervisor Gary Tofanelli and artistic director Isabel Lyle.
