Markleeville, CA– Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident yesterday.
The San Andreas area CHP reports that at around 4:50 pm, 69-year-old Daniel Morgan from Arcadia was riding his motorcycle westbound on Highway 4, west of Pacific Valley Road near Markleeville.
As Morgan negotiated a right turn, he noticed a large motor home traveling in the opposite direction ahead of him.
While Morgan applied his brakes and came to a stop, he was unable to keep the motorcycle upright because of the steep grade. As the motorcycle overturned onto its left side, it fractured Morgan’s left leg.
His passenger and sister, 50-year-old Barbara Stacy from Sparks, Nevada was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained minor injuries.
