San Andreas, CA– Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Andreas has appointed an interim hospital president and CEO.
Patti Monczewski, the current chief operating officer/vice president at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento, is assuming leadership responsibilities, in light of Feliciano Jiron’s recent resignation.
Monczewski’s new position in Calaveras County is effective immediately. She will also continue her leadership role within Catholic Healthcare West at Mercy General Hospital.
Since 2008, Monczweski has served as the COO/VP at Mercy General, which has 341 beds and approximately 2,200 employees. She is responsible for administrative direction and evaluation and ensures that operations are in accord with overall hospital needs and goals.
Prior to her time at Mercy General, Monczewski served as COO and Ethics & Compliance officer at HCA’s Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Lafayette, LA. She was also an associate administrator at Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center and Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas.
“I am pleased to be able to assist Mark Twain during this time of transition,” said Monczewski.
