Sonora, CA – The Tuolumne County Supervisors will hear an update on the Avalon Healthcare expansion at Tuesday’s meeting.
Avalon has agreed to take over the Long-Term Care services currently provided at the Tuolumne General Medical Facility.
Avalon has recently completed its 92-bed skilled nursing facility expansion at its existing site on Greenley Road. Avalon officials will be on hand to give a report and present a timeline on the transferring of patients.
The county will also decide Tuesday whether to use the former Social Security Building on Highway 49 as a Day Reporting Center for criminals. The Board will decide whether to sign a lease agreement.
The meeting will begin at 9am in the Supervisors meeting room. It will be streamed live in the multimedia section of myMotherLode.com.
