San Andreas, CA– Calaveras County voters went to the polls yesterday.
Three seats on the San Andreas Sanitary District were up for grabs. Voters also voted on Measure A which would impose an annual fire tax in the West Point Fire Protection District. Home owners would also be required to pay $78.50 annually to fund the fire department and keep the 24-hour response service in place.
So far 82% of voters are giving Measure A the thumbs up, according to the Recorder’s Office. Erie “Don” Young, Bill Perley and Michelle Turner have received the most votes so far for seats on the SASD board.
Calaveras County Election Coordinator Rebecca Andahl says final election results will be released later this afternoon.
