Sonora, CA — Comcast will start offering broadband internet and telephone service in Tuolumne County on December 6.
Phillip Arndt, Comcast Director of Governmental Affairs, made the announcement to the Board of Supervisors this morning. He noted that the new services will be available for anyone in the current Comcast footprint, which means those that currently have the option of purchasing cable television through the provider. Comcast has not expanded its footprint, and does not have any immediate plans to do so. Arndt noted, though, that it is a possibility down the road.
Arndt said that Comcast will begin a marketing campaign later this week to make customers aware of the new offerings.
