“Pack The Patrol Car Turkey Drive”

San Andreas, CA– The California Highway Patrol and the Calaveras County Resource Connection are teaming up for a “Pack the Patrol Car Turkey Drive.”

Today’s event is dedicated to feeding Calaveras County families in need this holiday season.

Food Bank Program Director Jeannie Hayward says the Food Bank is in desperate need of turkeys and all other non-perishable food items.

“I have so many people on my list that I can’t count them all,” said Hayward. “I’m afraid we are going to have to turn many away.”

The public is invited to bring frozen turkeys and other food items to the Save Mart Shopping Center in Angels Camp today from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Food or monetary donations will also be accepted at the Food Bank at 206 George Reed Drive in San Andreas.
