AAA is forecasting that 5.3 million Californians will hit the road over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
That’s an increase of 4.1 percent from last year. According to latest travel survey from AAA Northern California, 4.5 million people plan to travel 50 miles or more by motor vehicle, 620,000 by plane and 145,000 by other modes of transportation, like boats or trains.
Nationally, AAA forecasts that more than 42.5 million people will travel 50 miles or more during the four day weekend, which is an increase of four percent from last year.
