The streets of Twain Harte will be crawling with carolers, Santa Claus and holiday cheer Friday night at the Twain Harte Christmas Parade.
Volunteer Organizer Rich Knudsen was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Knudsen says the community is excited to have the parade return after being canceled last year, due to too much snow.
The annual Christmas Carol Sing will begin under the arch at 5:30pm, the town tree will be lit and the parade will start at 6pm with Santa’s arrival concluding the parade. Many will notice that the town tree has been decked with an entirely new set of lights for this year.
The parade starts in front of the CDF Station on Meadow Drive. It will then travel under the arches and over to Fuller. The route then eventually makes a circle back to the CDF Station.
Knudsen encourages residents and visitors to come out early. Parking is available at Twain Harte School.
Santa will stay long enough to visit with all children present and have free pictures taken with them.
The KVML “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
