TUD Urges Conservation Due To Wind Storm

Sonora, CA — Due to the wind storm the Tuolumne Utilities District irrigation ditch system’s water flow has been compromised by debris.

TUD is asking residents to limit their water consumption as much as possible in the following areas: Soulsbyville, Willow Springs, Ridgewood, Crystal Falls (all areas), Sonora Meadows, Sonora Vista, Comstock Ranch, Ranchos Poquitos, Curtis Creek, Monte Grande, Tuolumne City, Confidence, Sugar Pine, Lakewoodand Brentwood.

The water treatment plants and water storage tanks that serve these areas can become low if measures are not taken by residents to limit water usage. TUD requests that no outside watering be done, do only full loads of laundry, and take slightly shorter showers until further notice.
