Sonora, CA– In Tuolumne County 18,335 are without power with 7,335 in the greater Sonora area. Towns like Groveland, Tuolumne, and Soulsbyville each have 2,000 or more without power. Many more up in the Twain Harte, and Pinecrest area have no power. Calaveras county has 4,260 without power, 3,730 are in the Arnold area.
PG&E serves all of California and has 99,160 without power at this time. According to Nichole Liebelt this storm began in the valley yesterday and the damage in the Mother Lode area reached its peak by approximately 2:30 pm. Crews could not work in some areas due to unsafe conditions caused by wind that was 35-40 miles per hour with gusts up to 70 miles per hour.
