Sonora, CA– Sonora, CA– Tuolumne Utility District is asking Cedar Ridge residents to limit their water use immediately.
TUD Spokesperson Lisa Westbrook says water levels at the Cedar Ridge water storage tank were lower than expected this morning.
“We are very concerned because water demand seems to be too high in the Cedar Ridge area,” said Westbrook. “I know that some people are concerned about freezing temperatures, but residents should not keep water on if they’re trying to keep pipes from freezing. Until we get our water supply back, they should limit all water use in the next couple of days in the Cedar Ridge area.”
Westbrook says this precaution will help prevent a complete water outage in the area.
