The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for the Sierra Nevada from Thursday evening through Friday morning.
Steady winds of thirty to forty-five mph are expected. Gusts could reach up to sixty mph.
This system will usher in some cold Canadian air, bringing the potential for more widespread freezing temperatures.
