Sonora, CA– Many “low-level” criminals that would have gone to state prison will be serving out time at the county level.
AB 109 will be the focus of Mother Lode Views this weekend. Guests include Tuolumne County Chief Probation Officer Adele Arnold, Undersheriff Keith Lunney and Tuolumne County District Attorney Donald Segerstrom.
The panel will speak about the impacts of the Public Safety Realignment Act and preparations made in the county. Alternative treatment programs will also be discussed such as a Day Treatment Center and Work Release.
