Sonora, CA — A proposal to build a senior living community off Tuolumne Road was recently submitted to the Tuolumne County Community Resources Agency.
The developer has over 30 acres in the area of the Eagle Ridge Subdivision.
“The applicant is proposing a continuum of care, basically for the elderly,” says Mike Laird of the Community Resources Agency. “The project consists of about 90 apartment units, in duplex and four-plex configurations. It would also include two separate 80 unit buildings to house the remainder of the continuum of care, including a congregate care facility, assisted living facility and skilled nursing facility.”
The proposed project is located south of Tuolumne Road, across from the T.U.D. and Comcast offices.
“It’s basically a place where people could move to, and plan on spending the rest of their lives,” says Laird, explaining the project.
The developer is based out of Southern California, Ed Brown. It is now going through county’s review processes, and could go before the Board of Supervisors within the next year or so.
