Valley Springs, CA – Another random shooting has been reported in the Valley Springs area, bringing the number to 15.
Sgt. Dave Seawell with the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department says the latest incident occurred Thursday evening on Watertown Rd. near Campo Seco Rd.
The victim was returning home from Amador County around 6:15pm. A vehicle approached him with its high beams activated driving in and out of the traffic lane. The victim says he was eventually forced to steer his vehicle off of the roadway and into a ditch.
The victim did not see or hear any gunshots at the time of the incident. The following morning the victim inspected his vehicle and discovered a bullet hole in the rear driver’s side fender.
