Sonora, CA — A Sierra Pacific Industries residential development will be the focus of a Tuolumne County Planning Commission meeting this evening.
According to Mike Laird, the Deputy Director of Planning for the Community Development Department, S.P.I. will be seeking approval for a 428 home project in the Standard area.
Laird adds that the Commission has a number of applications before them including the general plan amendment, a zone change, and a planning development permit along with sub-division maps. The Commission will be making recommendations on those items to the Board of Supervisors at, as yet, an unknown date.
Laird comments that in his mind S.P.I. has done all it can do to mitigate any and all concerns regarding the development. And while he can’t read the minds of the Commission members he is hopeful they will approve the proposal.
This evening’s meeting will start at 7pm in the Supervisors Chambers in the County Administration Center.
