Groveland, CA — A turnout of 100 plus was on hand for the District Four Five Year Strategic Plan meeting last week.
Tuolumne County Supervisor John Gray was Wednesday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
According to Gray one of the primary items discussed was the lack of transit service in the community. Tuolumne Transit only services the Groveland area once a week.
Gray feels the overriding concern for all the districts is the lack of jobs.
“Jobs is always the big one. Every place we have have been the people have talked about needing jobs … something to boost our economy. Growth was mentioned along with the reduction of students in schools. Without the jobs we’re not going to be able to make good things happen.”
Gray added that a number of people would like to have at lease an annual supervisorial meeting in their district. As one individual stated, “Think of all the cars that wouldn’t have to go to Sonora if we could have a meeting right here in the south County.”

Gray also will be hosting a regular townhall meeting on Saturday March 6th at 6:30pm. This will be at the Don Pedro Hacienda (J-59 and Bonds Flat Road).
The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard each weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am
