Sacramento, CA – Republican State Senator Dave Cox feels California needs to reduce regulations placed on businesses in order to grow the economy.
Cox, along with Assemblyman Roger Niello, have been hosting a series of forums in the Sacramento area inviting business leaders speak about how regulations are affecting their operations.
“Earlier this year, an academic study from Sac State revealed that the cost of regulation on California businesses is nearly $500 billion annually,” states Cox in his weekly Capitol Report. “With unemployment at record high levels, the overregulation of businesses is likely one primary cause of the state’s lagging economy and high unemployment rates.”
The next scheduled forum is coming up February 23rd at 8am in the Rancho Cordova City Council Chambers. It will be the fifth such hearing.
