A swift moving storm could bring snow to the Motherlode this evening.
Snow is expected from 1500 through 2000 feet on Monday night. The Motherlode could see an inch or two of accumulation.
Thunderstorms are also possible tonight.
For the Sierra Nevada mountains, the total amount of snow will only be around two to four inches, above 5000 feet.
Expect a very cold Tuesday morning with snow and ice in places.
Another wet system will move through the Motherlode from Tuesday night through early Wednesday. Expect snow accumulations in the Motherlode.
