Jamestown, CA — Officials are investigating a fire that started during the eight o’clock hour this morning in Jamestown.
Destroyed was a single-wide mobile home located up a dirt trail a short distance east of the Kamps Propane property.
The mobile home had been unoccupied for many years and the damage estimate is between $2,000-5,000.
Battalion Chief Craig Konklin says the structure was pretty much to the ground by the time fire officials arrived on scene.
The owner of the structure says there was no electricity connected to the abandoned home and that he has had problems in the past with people trying to go inside.
An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
