Sacramento, CA — The state Senate has approved a bill intended to dedicate a larger percentage of California lottery money to the public.
The bill would return an additional 3 percent of lottery proceeds in prizes or school aid, increasing the level to 87 percent. Less money could go toward administration.
The bill passed the Senate on a 32-0 vote Monday. Now it’ll return to the Assembly which approved the bill last year.
