Fresno, CA — Two of the three Tuolumne County Special Olympic teams captured gold medals at the Northern California Central Valley Regional Basketball Tournament this weekend.
The “Purple” Tuolumne County Ravens won all three of their games to capture a gold medal for the second year in a row in the 5A Division.
The “Red” Tuolumne County Ravens split their two games but also captured a gold medal when another team in the 5B Division pulled out of the tournament prematurely.
While the “Cool” Tuolumne County Ravens lost both their games they still captured a bronze medal.
Each of the Tuolumne County Ravens “Skills and Drills” athletes won either a gold, silver or bronze medal for their performance.
Off all the teams entered, Tuolumne County had more athletes participating (32) than any other group.
