Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council is kicking off its April schedule of meetings this evening at City Hall.
New business will include consideration to approve a Special Event Permit Application form including Rules and Regulations which will replace the existing Street Closure Encroachment Permit process.
Also the Council will consider approving the closure of School St. between N. Washington St. and Snell St. for the “Every 15 Minutes” event that includes a mock accident on School St. adjacent to the swimming pool. Numerous law enforcement agencies and emergency personnel take part in this annual event to curb drunk driving among teens.
