Yosemite, CA — In honor of Earth Day and National Park Week, entrance fees into Yosemite will be waived for nine straight days.
Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar has decided to waive fees into all national parks from Saturday, April 17 to Sunday April 25.
Yosemite Ranger Scott Gediman says, "In the past we’ve had entrance fees waived for specific days, but in my 20 plus years with the National Park Service I can never remember a time where it was waived all week."
Camping and all other fees in the park will still be applicable. Special activities will be taking place throughout the park from April 17-25 in honor of National Park Week and April 22 in recognition of Earth Day.
