Jamestown, CA — Motorcyclists came out to honor a fallen hero Saturday.
The second annual Sgt. Bobby Rapp Scholarship Memorial Motorcycle Run was held in Jamestown. The event is put on by the Vietnam Veterans of America Post 391 and raises money for graduating Tuolumne County high school seniors.
“The community has stepped up and backed this event 100 percent,” says Al Sickle, event coordinator. “They’re helping us honor a fallen hero, who happens to be a local hero.”
Activities and registration started at 9am, with the run getting underway around 11am.
It was March 3rd of 2008 that Sgt. Bobby Rapp was killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan.
