Sacramento, CA — Plans to cut emission rules for diesel powered construction equipment may be delayed.
California Air Resources Board Officials say the slow economy has resulted in many vehicles sitting idle. Construction activity has been down approximately 50 percent since the regulations were approved three years ago, which has resulted in reduced emissions.
CARB held a meeting earlier today in Sacramento. The agency is looking to explore alternative ideas, as many in the industry are having difficulties complying.
