Original post at 6:15 a.m.: Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Roads Department will close Kewin Mill Road just north of Belleview Elementary School down to one lane with flaggers today.
The work that was started over the weekend had to be rescheduled due to underground utilities located in the roadway. We reported earlier that Kewin Mill Road received extensive damage during the weekend storm system. The contractor will resume the work from noon until midnight. After 12 pm the contractor will install a temporary bridge that will remain in place until 12 am. The actual installation will require a hard closure of the road for four hours sometime between the hours of 1 and 10 pm. Motorists are advised to avoid the area if at all possible.
