Sonora, CA – State Senator Jeff Denham is challenging other candidates in the District 19 U.S. House race to take a stand against earmarks.
“I believe very strongly that our biggest vulnerability as a nation is our national debt,” says Denham. “I’m the only one in this race that’s taken a no earmarks pledge, and I continue to challenge my opponents to do the same.”
Denham was in Sonora Tuesday afternoon campaigning for the District 19 U.S. House seat.
“It seems like a very simple thing to do, but in the larger picture nationwide it is huge to controlling our debt,” adds Denham.
In the Republican primary Denham is facing Jim Patterson, Richard Pombo and Larry Westerlund.
