Washington, CA — Republican Congressman George Radanovich is optimistic about his party’s chances to pick up House seats in November.
“I think Republicans will for sure gain 30 seats,” says Radanovich. “We need around 40 seats to get the majority back into Republican hands. I think we could very well get up to 80 seats, depending on the anger of the voters.”
Radanovich was first elected in 1994, and announced last year that he will not seek re-election. He has endorsed Jeff Denham to be his replacement. Other Republican candidates are Jim Patterson, Richard Pombo and Larry Westerlund. Democratic challengers are Lorraine Goodwin and Les Marsden.
The list will be narrowed down to two following the June 8th primary.
