Yosemite, CA — Hikers will soon have the ability to climb Half Dome in Yosemite.
Park Officials say cables allowing access to the Summit will be in place by June 16th. Visitors are required to have a permit on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays due to the high demand.
Hikers gain 4,800 feet of elevation along the trail that passes highlights such as Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall, before reaching the cables on Half Dome’s steep granite shoulder.
