Calaveras County, CA – Commuters will face delays all day tomorrow as repairs are made along a heavily traveled bridge in the Copperopolis area of Calaveras County.
The Calaveras County Public Works Department will close one lane along O’Byrnes Ferry Bridge on Thursday, June 6th. It will allow crews to make repairs to a damaged guard rail. Starting at the Tuolumne County line, the work will be along the eastbound side of the roadway. Flaggers will be at both ends of the bridge directing one-way traffic from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. impacting both the morning and evening commute on that day.
Motorists will face up to ten minute delays and may want to take an alternative route as traffic is expected to be backed up especially during those heavy commute times. Public works officials ask travelers to slow down and use caution when driving by personnel or equipment in the cone zones.
