CCOG Receiving Funding

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras Council of Governments will receive money to help fund planning for the realignment of Highway 4.

Caltrans announces that $250,000 from the State Transportation Improvement Program will go towards creating a Project Report and Environmental Document. The stretch of Highway 4 being realigned between Copperopolis and Angels Camp is often referred to as the “Wagon Trail,” and features severe curves. Intersecting roads include Pool Station, Appaloosa, Hunt and Stallion.
