Groveland, CA – A 55 year old Groveland man was fatally injured in a morning accident near Groveland. CHP Officer Mike Remmel says a Dodge truck was traveling on a Forest Service Road near the Lumsden Campground and went down an embankment 1500 to 2000 feet.
The CHP says that only one person was in the vehicle at the time of the crash. The accident was reported at 7:30am. A helicopter was called in to assist due to the isolated location of the crash.
The name of victim has not been released.
