San Andreas, CA — Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital has announced the opening of the 2010 CHW Community Grants Program.
The objective of CHW’s Community Grants Program is to award funding to nonprofit organizations whose proposals respond to the priorities identified in the community health assessment or the community benefit plans of Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital. The funds are to be used to provide services to underserved populations such as the poor, mentally or physically disabled or other disenfranchised populations.
Last year’s recipients included the Volunteer Center of Calaveras County, Blue Mountain Coalition for Youth and Families and Mind Matters Clinic. The deadline for submission of Letters of Intent is August 23, 2010.
