La Grange, CA– Four Central Valley residents have been arrested for allegedly conducting a home invasion robbery at the home of a La Grange man.
According to Tuolumne County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Jeff Wilson, the victim, 42 year old Daniel Carter Lutes was at a Modesto hospital yesterday receiving medical treatment for injuries received during the robbery. After Modesto Police contacted the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office and notified them of the incident, detectives obtained a search warrant and found evidence of a robbery and a large marijuana indoor garden.
Lutes, told authorities that he was home Thursday when several suspects entered his residence heavily armed, held him at gunpoint and assaulted him. Before leaving the home they reportedly took several items including 700 marijuana plants and cash. Lutes identified the robbers and alerted Modesto police of their Modesto address.
22-year-old Whitney Montenez of Riverbank, 24-year-old Bradley Montenez of Modesto, 18- year-old Michael Uperesa of Modesto and 22-year-old Peter Toilolo were taken into custody and charged with several felonies including kidnapping, conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery, assault and receiving stolen property.
The victim, Daniel Carter Lutes remains under investigation for the marijuana garden found at his home.
