Sonora, CA– Local high school football season is now in full swing.
It’s week one and a number of games were played last night. Sonora High’s quarterback Ryan Emerald passed for 153 yards and ran for 117 yards including a 4 yard touchdown run with 30 seconds left to play in the game to win it for Sonora. Sonora beat Johansen High 35 to 34. Other scores last night include Turlock’s win over Oakdale 39 to 14. Calaveras beat Weston Ranch 34 to 7 and Bret Harte took the win over Gustine 35 to 6.
