Sonora, CA — A dedication ceremony will be held Saturday night for the new Veterans Memorial outside the Sonora VA Clinic on Mono Way.
To raise money for the memorial, supporters could purchase a brick and place the name of a Veteran on it, and those bricks now cover the display.
“The memorial collectively commemorates all the men and women who have served, but the bricks individually commemorate their service,” says Organizer Frank Smart. “It is very emotional to see the names of all those people who have served this country, and it’s very moving.”
The public is encouraged to attend the event that starts at 6:30pm. The keynote speaker will be Joann Krumberger, Associate Director of the Palo Alto Healthcare System.
