Copperopolis, CA– A head on collision yesterday on Highway 4 west of Telegraph Road at the Calaveras/Stanislaus County line, resulted in minor injuries and one DUI arrest.
According to the San Andreas CHP, due to his intoxication, 24 year old Douglas Koch of Angels Camp allowed his 1996 Pontiac to cross over the center line of Highway 4 and collide head on with a 2001 Volkswagon. The driver of the Volkswagon, 33 year old Eric Aldridge of Copperopolis was then pushed into another vehicle, a 2006 Ford driven by 43 year old Mike Crowe of Daly City.
Koch was arrested at the scene before being transported to Mark Twain Hospital for minor injuries. After clearing the hospital, Koch was taken and booked into Calaveras County jail.
