This weekend is the 70th Annual Tuolumne Lumber Jubilee and there are more events planned in the Mother Lode. As detailed in KVML “Newsmaker of the Day” with Aaron Rasmussen, Tuolumne Lumber Jubilee Board President, this year marks the 70th year of the community celebration. The carnival events began on Thursday and there will be live music Friday and Saturday night starting at 7pm. Sign up to compete in arm wrestling, boxing, axe throwing, and more events for all ages. Local food vendors, logging equipment and car show, and Hot Saw competition plus the tenacious Tug of War. The event listing is here.
Interfaith Social Service Pancake Breakfast fundraiser will be held at the Sonora Applebee’s Saturday morning. The Sonora Lions Club is hosting an Omelet Breakfast Fundraiser at the Tuolumne County Senior Center.
Over in Calaveras, the Calaveras Master Gardeners are hosting an Open Garden & Plant Sale. There is also the Senior Expo and Health Fair at the Arnold Library with various free testing and information on Saturday.
At the Mother Lode Fairgrounds starting at 5 PM Saturday in the John Muir Building is the Come-In-Unity: Honoring Those Who Serve and Protect event.

Saturday is also THE PARTY – Boots & Bling the event is their largest annual fundraiser to support the Calaveras Mentoring Foundation’s Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program.
