Sonora, CA — The President of the California Tourism Industry Association says the Mother Lode has advantages when it comes to drawing visitors.
John Severini spoke at a luncheon hosted by the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau Thursday.
“People want to see the gateway areas of the state, but there is also a great interest in finding the hidden gems and unique places that really hearken back to the history of California,” says Severini. “This place has so much going for it, with the great places to visit, the culture, the food, the great people and the experience.”
A strong crowd representing the local tourism and hospitality industry was on hand for the event that was held at the East Sonora Conference Center.
