Yosemite, CA — This is the final weekend of the year to take advantage of the Half Dome cables in Yosemite National Park.
The cables will be taken down for the fall and winter season on Tuesday, October 12. Park Rangers strongly advise visitors against attempting to summit Half Dome without the cables in place as the climb can be wet and slippery. The cables will be placed back up in the spring of 2011 when conditions permit.
