Murphys, CA — The California Transportation Commission will have a town hall meeting in Murphys this week.
Calaveras Council of Governments Executive Director Tim McSorley says it’s a great opportunity for residents to hear about state transportation issues and projects. The commission is responsible for allocating funds for the construction of highway, passenger rail and transit improvements.
McSorley says Congressman John Garamendi is scheduled to be on hand for the event. The town hall meeting runs from 8:30am-noon, Wednesday at Ironstone Vineyards. It is open to the public.
