Highway 4 Closure

Alpine County, CA — A portion of Highway 4 is completely closed today and tomorrow in Alpine County.

Highway 4 is closed from Ebbetts Pass to the Junction of Highway 89 between the hours of 8am-5pm because crews are removing a vehicle that went off the side of the highway.
The Forest Service and a local towing company are working to salvage the wrecked tractor/trailer in an area known as the Cadillac Curve. The road closure is considered necessary to ensure the safety of motorists and workers in the area.
